Hello everybody, I hope you are all well and just a little bit cooler
off this week, I don't know about you guys, but I am well and truly
over this summer heat. If you can't escape the heat, at least you can
listen to us while you sit there uncomfortably, as Edin and I are both
back again this week with The Average Australian Football Podcast - Episode 19.
this week's show we start with everybody's favourite topic, the FFA.
Look out for some interesting updates on the FFA and A-League civil war
and power struggle going on, there's also an update specifically on the
imposed FIFA changes, as well as not-so-good news on the A-League
expansion we're all desperately hoping for.
We discuss the
recent criticism of the A-League and its lack of momentum, especially
when considering the emergence of female Aussie Rules, as well as the
W-League grand final and the lack of consideration for the women's' game
Outside of our FFA whinge, we as
always go through last weekend's round of A-League football, match by
match, and give all our impressions and takeaways from a hugely
entertaining round of A-League football. Some of the talking points
After our look into the results of each match and a discussion into all the biggest talking points,
we look ahead and give our preview and prediction of each match taking
place this weekend, starting with the Friday night fixture between
bottom of the table Adelaide United and 6th-placed Newcastle Jets.
closing out our A-League review and preview sections, we shift towards
the English Premier League and Champions League action that has taken
place since last we spoke. We focus on the English clubs and their
chances in the last 16 of the Champions League, there's also discussion
on Claudio Ranieri's future, Klopp's Liverpool, and the rise of PSG and
fall of Barcelona.
All of that and much much more!
